Many Briefing Programs see the strategic value of elevating the interaction skills of Briefing Managers to include briefing facilitation skills. In partnership with the sales team, a skilled briefing facilitator can help deliver a more effective, smoothly integrated, highly customer-centric briefing that meets the strategic and in-the-moment objectives of both the customer and your company.
As a result of this two day training workshop, Briefing Managers will become comfortable participating more actively in briefings, making connections throughout the day to link speakers’ topics to the customer’s objectives and handling the difficult moments that sometimes arise between customer briefing attendees and speakers.
Participants will learn, practice and get expert feedback on how to:
- Strategically open and close briefings in ways that keep the customer connected
- Deliver powerful speaker introductions to keep the customer engaged and on path
- Transition smoothly between speakers and topics
- Link key messages to each specific customer’s objectives
- Read verbal and non-verbal audience cues and interact appropriately
- Handle difficult customer and speaker interactions
- Work more effectively with sales teams and speakers
Additionally, these skills enable the briefing facilitator to coach and provide feedback to speakers, so those speakers can deliver clearer, more tailored customer-focused messages.
This facilitation skills workshop integrates with Mandel's "Exceptional Briefing Program Presentations" skills-building workshop (a recommended prerequisite). "Facilitation Skills for Briefing Professionals" was developed in partnership with Ann Benett and Benett Communications.
